💻 PC

  1. Press the tilde key ~ or backtick ` to open the cheat console
  2. Type the cheat code in capital letters (e.g., PAINKILLER)
  3. Press Enter to activate
  4. The text is invisible while typing — that's normal

🎮 Xbox / PlayStation

  1. While in single-player gameplay, press the button sequence as fast as possible
  2. Cheat activation message appears at top of screen on success
  3. Most cheats have a 3-second time window — go fast
  4. If it doesn't work, try again — input timing is strict

📱 Phone Method (All Platforms)

  1. Open the in-game phone (Up on d-pad / phone button)
  2. Open the contacts/keypad

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do GTA V cheats still work in 2026?

Yes — every single-player cheat code listed here works in GTA V across PC, PS3/PS4/PS5, and Xbox 360/One/Series X|S. Rockstar has not removed cheats from single-player and almost certainly never will. The codes have been identical since the game launched in 2013.

Do GTA V cheats work in GTA Online?

No. Cheats only work in GTA V single-player (Michael, Franklin, Trevor story mode). They are completely disabled in GTA Online. Attempting to use cheat codes online does nothing — and any modded money will result in a permanent ban from Rockstar.

Will using cheats disable achievements / trophies?

Yes — entering any cheat code disables Achievement/Trophy unlocks for the current play session. Save your game first if you want to use a cheat without permanently affecting your save's achievement status (though most cheats only disable for that session, not permanently).

How do I enter PC cheats?

On PC, press the tilde key (~ or `) to open the in-game console. Type the cheat code in capital letters and press Enter. The console will not display the text as you type but the cheat will activate when you press Enter.

How do I enter cheats on PS4 / PS5 / Xbox?

Use the controller button combination listed for each cheat. Press the buttons in sequence as fast as possible — most cheats have a short time window. Alternatively, use the in-game phone (press up on the d-pad) and dial the phone number listed, which works on every platform.

Is there a GTA V money cheat?

What does the phone cheat method do?

Pull out your in-game phone (Up on d-pad / press the phone button) and dial the phone number using the keypad. The cheat activates the same way as the button combo, but works on every platform identically. Useful if you can't remember controller sequences.

Can I use multiple cheats at once?

Yes — most cheats stack. You can have invincibility, max armor, all weapons, fast run, slow-motion aim, and explosive bullets all active simultaneously. Some cheats have stacking effects (slow-motion can be applied up to 4 times for progressively slower speed).
