The Real Animal
The Burmese python is one of the world's largest snakes and a genuine ecological crisis in South Florida, where released and escaped pets established a breeding population in the Everglades. They can exceed 18 feet, are constrictors, and have decimated local mammal populations — a real-world story so dramatic that the state runs organised python-removal programmes.
That invasive-species narrative is uniquely Floridian and gives the python obvious thematic appeal for a Leonida set partly in the Everglades.
Precedent in the GTA Series
