CONTEXT

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026. Pre-orders opened June 25, and Rockstar settled the open questions the day before: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate, two editions only, the Vintage Vice City Pack with any purchase before November 20, a free GTA+ month on digital pre-orders, and a physical version that contains a download code rather than a disc. Pre-load opens November 12. No Collector's tier has been announced, and no PC version exists yet.

This hub covers what still matters now that pre-orders are live: which retailers are actually selling them, what the Ultimate Edition adds over Standard and whether that gap is worth $20, what the Vintage Vice City Pack contains, the scam landscape (fake pre-order sites are still circulating, and an open pre-order window makes them more convincing, not less), and whether to buy now or wait for review consensus.

What is still open, as of July 16, 2026: Trailer 3 has no announced date — Rockstar opened pre-orders without one, which inverts the usual order and is now the loudest question of the run-up. Regional pricing outside the USD baseline has not been fully published. No PC version has been announced. What is closed: the May 18 Best Buy email leak was a false alarm; the May 21 earnings call reaffirmed November 19 and said nothing about price; and Tom Henderson's read that pre-orders might slip to July did not hold — they opened June 25. We graded our own pricing calls against the June 24 announcement rather than quietly deleting them — the scorecard is here.
