Overview
Honest note: GTA 6 trailers show Vice City clubs, but Rockstar has confirmed no club-ownership business. This page explains the real GTA Online mechanic that fuels the expectation; for the venues themselves and their Vice City heritage, see Vice City Nightclub. No GTA 6 figures are invented here.
This is the “can you run a club?” page. The clubs are on screen — trailer footage shows the duo out in Vice City nightlife — but turning a club into a money-making business is a separate feature, one GTA Online built out in detail and GTA 6 has not confirmed. Understanding how that GTA Online business works is the best guide to what a GTA 6 version might resemble.
Why It Fits Leonida
The venues are confirmed on screen, and an ownable-club layer fits a Miami-built world where nightlife is central. GTA Online has also made clear that Rockstar likes the nightclub specifically as a hub business — a legitimate front that quietly ties a player’s other operations together. That design instinct is exactly the kind of thing a Vice City sequel could carry forward, which is why it’s reasonable to expect — not why it’s confirmed.
What’s Actually Known
Status: Clubs shown on screen; club ownership is expectation, not confirmation.
Rockstar has shown the venues but has said nothing about owning or running one in GTA 6, nor whether buyable businesses return. Any purchase price, popularity stat, or income figure attached to a GTA 6 nightclub business is invented. What’s real is the GTA Online precedent below — detailed and recent, which is the honest basis for the expectation.
How the After Hours Nightclub Works
GTA Online’s After Hours update (July 2018) made the nightclub one of the game’s defining businesses, run with club-scene promoter Tony Prince. The model has a few clear pillars worth knowing, because they’re what a GTA 6 version would likely echo:
Popularity drives the safe. The club earns passive cash into an office safe based on a popularity meter; keep popularity high (by booking DJs and running quick promotion missions — walking out a drunk VIP, removing a troublemaker) and the daily income keeps flowing. Let it slide and earnings dwindle.
The warehouse is the real engine. Beneath the club sits an expandable warehouse where assigned technicians passively accrue goods linked to a player’s other businesses — so the nightclub doubles as a hub that quietly consolidates a whole criminal portfolio into one sell mission. Tony takes a cut (around 10%) when you sell. There are ten purchasable club locations, plus cosmetic options like styles, light rigs, dancers and dry ice.
That’s the template GTA 6 has to draw on if it lets you own a club: legitimate-front-plus-hidden-engine, popularity upkeep, passive income. The mechanic is fully real — in the previous game. Its return is expectation only.
Front of House, Back of House
The After Hours design — a glossy public club concealing an illicit operation — isn’t arbitrary; it mirrors how cash-heavy nightlife has long intersected with the underworld, and Miami’s club scene is the archetypal example, glamour out front and money-movement behind. That’s the texture a GTA 6 club business would inherit. For the actual Vice City venues and their history — including the original Malibu Club — see our Vice City Nightclub page.
