Rockstar announced the price and pre-orders opened June 25. $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This page previously carried $69.99 / $99.99 / $149.99 estimates built on industry trends — those were forecasts, and the middle one happened to land. Everything below is now Rockstar's own announcement. No PC version has been announced.

There is no Deluxe or Collector's tier. Rockstar announced two editions and has not said anything about a third — which isn't a denial, just a silence. If a boxed collector's set is announced, it'll be here the same day.
The $79.99 standard price breaks the $69.99 console ceiling that had held since 2020. That's the part of this that will outlive the launch: GTA V has sold north of 195 million copies, and every publisher watching will read the sales data as permission or warning. How It Actually Played Out
The dates below are settled. We've left the shape of the timeline intact because the run-up is now the record of how the reveal landed.
- June 18, 2026 — Rockstar confirms pre-orders open June 25 and reveals the cover art. No pricing yet.
- June 24, 2026 — Pricing and editions announced: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate. Vintage Vice City Pack detailed. Physical version confirmed as a download code, not a disc.
- June 25, 2026 — Pre-orders live at midnight local time on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and retailers.
- November 12, 2026 — Pre-load opens for digital pre-orders. Physical boxes hit shelves the same day.
- November 19, 2026 — Launch.
- November 20, 2026 — Vintage Vice City Pack window closes. Purchases before this date qualify.
Where to Pre-Order
Pre-orders have been live since June 25. These are the official channels — anything else selling a "GTA 6 pre-order" is not one:
- PlayStation Store — Digital PS5 purchase. Instant pre-load before launch.
- Xbox Store — Digital Xbox Series X|S purchase. Pre-load available.
- Rockstar Store — Physical editions and potential exclusive bundles.
- Amazon — Physical editions, often with Prime shipping guarantees.
- Best Buy / GameStop / Walmart — Physical boxes. No retailer-exclusive bonuses have been announced; Rockstar's Vintage Vice City Pack goes to every buyer before Nov 20 regardless of storefront.
- Target — Physical boxes. Note that no steelbook, art-card or collector variants have been announced for GTA 6; the box contains a download code.
There is no PC version. Rockstar has not announced one, has not given a date, and has not opened PC pre-orders. Any site taking a GTA 6 PC pre-order today is selling something that does not exist — see the scam warnings below.
Scam Warnings
GTA 6 is the most anticipated game in history, making it a prime target for scammers. Protect yourself:
🚨 Fake Pre-Order Sites
Do NOT pre-order from any website other than official retailers listed above. Scam sites are already taking "deposits" for a game that doesn't have pre-orders yet. If a site is accepting GTA 6 pre-orders right now (April 2026), it is a scam.
🚨 "Early Access" Key Sellers
There are no early access keys being sold anywhere. Grey market key sites offering "GTA 6 beta access" or "early play codes" are fraudulent. Rockstar has not distributed any such keys.
🚨 Social Media Giveaways
Fake giveaways on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok asking you to "follow and share" for a free copy are phishing attempts. Official Rockstar giveaways (if any) will only come from verified @RockstarGames accounts.
🚨 "Leaked" Download Links
Any link claiming to offer a GTA 6 download, beta, or demo is malware. The game has not been released and there is no playable version available outside Rockstar's offices. Period.
